Schwachstellen in ActiveX

Here you may found some of the malicious controls which uses the security flaws in ActiveX.
These controls where developed for Windows95. It's unknown what happens to users with WinNT or WfW. Because of the more easier implementation the controls where developed with Visual Basic. So you need the vbvm50.dll for running the controls. If this dll isn't on your PC, it will automatically be installed from microsoft.com. Applets that may harm your computer are described before you are able to execute the control.

• Begruessung starts "notepad" and gives it a short german text (it's something like "greetings from ActiveX").
• IE Security Level let's you control the security level of your Internet Explorer. The caption of the control is in german, but the entrys in the dropdown -list only stands for "low", "medium" and "high". (Hint: Bookmark this page, because using this control for changing the security Level of the IE is faster than opening all the menues. ;-).
• rename.html renames your Windows-directory to "windows.activex". (You can rename it again, using pure DOS.)
