Anyway, I read this on abc's website: *** Two Came Back A simple sailboat delivery becomes a desperate struggle for survival in "Two Came Back," a suspenseful drama based on a harrowing true story, airing Sunday, September 28 at 9:00 p.m., ET, on the ABC Sunday Night Movie. When Susan Clarkson (Melissa Joan Hart) and her four-person crew set sail from San Diego to Vancouver, they expect a leisurely journey. What they get is a harrowing adventure when the captain veers off course and a deadly storm ravages the vessel. Adrift on a raft with no food or water, the shipmates clash with nature's fiercest elements -- and each other, fighting for their lives as sharks close in for the kill. Although the disastrous on-screen storm was created artificially with wave machines and water hoses, the "Two Came Back" production team experienced unexpected real-life terror when teenage star Melissa Joan Hart nearly drowned on the set. Bogged down by layers of clothes worn over a wet-suit, the petite blonde struggled to swim to the water's surface, unable even to manage the emergency hand signal that had been provided in case of such a crisis. "It didn't get to the point where she had to be dragged out," says Melissa's mom, a producer of the movie, "but she got really frightened because she thought she was going down for the last time." Fortunately, making "Two Came Back" had its lighter moments. For example, since the production couldn't use real sharks or build mechanical ones to circle the stranded raft, they strapped a fin to the back of one of the crew members and pulled him along by jet-ski! Co-star Jonathan Brandis (Jason) recalls, "It was funny to be on the set, with this guy walking around with this fin on his back all during lunch." Wonder if sushi was on the menu... *** I was quite distressed by the line about Mel almost drowning. You would think they could find a stunt double, someone expendable, not our beloved Mel :-) Well I hope this one is worth watching, I know myself and everyone else will have their vcrs fired up and running tomorrow night ;-) Jon R.
